About Us

From political commentators who rile up their audiences with racist claims about Indian immigrants to state lawmakers who conflate the Chinese government with Chinese American families, anti-Asian scapegoating is a growing force in U.S. politics.

And it poses a serious threat to the civil rights and welfare of Asians in America — not to mention, the shared values of freedom and equality on which this nation was founded.

As proud Asians and proud Americans, we cannot stand back and watch our political leaders put racist rhetoric and anti-immigrant fear-mongering in control of our political discourse — which brings us to this campaign. We are mobilizing people across the nation to stop the hate, stop the blame, and stop-Anti-Asian scapegoating once and for all.

Our Goals

Goal 1

Hold leaders accountable for using racist, anti-immigrant political rhetoric.

Hold leaders accountable for using racist, anti-immigrant political rhetoric. When people in power give voice to racism and anti-immigrant fear-mongering, it puts entire communities into harm’s way. In calling out anti-Asian political rhetoric when and where we see it, we have the chance to remind our leaders that there is no place for hate in our public discourse.

Goal 2

Defeat legislation that dehumanizes and discriminates against Asians in America.

With legislation that restricts home ownership for Asian immigrants and fuels racial profiling against Asian scientists and researchers, a growing number of state and federal lawmakers want to drag us back to the darkest chapters of U.S. history. We can’t let this happen.

Goal 3

Educate people about anti-Asian scapegoating and what it means for our communities.

From Japanese incarceration to the Chinese Exclusion Act, U.S. politicians have a long history of scapegoating Asians based on race, faith, or heritage. Teaching the general public about what happened and how is the first step in making sure history never repeats itself.
